After the successful completion of stove master training, only qualified trained stove masters are sent in the field for ICS construction. SCN puts heavy weight on trainings to the stove masters. After clearing paper work with local government, we set up an 8 days training for 15 to 20 participants as needed in the area. The program contains theoretical and practical parts as well as information about health and environmental effects of open fire cooking. During the training every participant has to complete one smokeless oven according the standard of SCN / AEPC.

He/she will learn about the mixture and consistence of clay paste and how to form the bricks. They have to use the measuring tape and tools to set up the stove and chimney. Informationsare provided about different types of smoke outlet and the best place for oven inside the room. Finally each newly trained stove masters will get a set of brick forms, some tools and measuring tape and a pictured information booklet inside one backpack, to use it for his/her work.

After formal training the fresh stove masters have to complete 150 stoves under the supervision of senior stove masters. They will work together and help correcting the mistakes on the spot. Only after the registration of 150 stoves on his/her name the certificate will be provided by SCN.
